The World Wide Web as a source of information for almost every question of everyday life needs good search engines, the basic mathematical ideas of which are presented in this article. Google has revolutionized the search through a new algorithm that looks upon the World Wide Web as a directed graph. The article uses an experiment to investigate several approaches of different search engines. Variations of the Google algorithm from current research are briefly mentioned. |
