Abstract	"This collection is the result of an interdisciplinary conference "The racist discourse in Russian education", held in April 2004 in St. Petersburg under the auspices of the Centre for Independent Social Research. Gathered sociologists, ethnologists, linguists, human rights defenders continued to discuss the role of elite discourse in the reproduction of contemporary racism, begun at the previous conference "Social Sciences, Racist Discourse and Discrimination Practices" (December, 2001). The focus of the speakers were school and university textbooks on social sciences and their contribution to the (re) production of language, creates conditions for discriminatory practices and violence. The volume contains the texts of the reports and the most important and interesting excerpts from the discussion." (Verlag).
