Abstract | The paper reports on the approach of the English Department of the Leibnitz University Hanover to Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) in teacher education, where it features in a module on bilingual learning and teaching in the MEd (Master of Education). Videography in general and working with case studies constructed around recorded CLIL lessons and Discourse Analysis are discussed as rich learning environments and tools for student teachers to develop a reflective approach towards teaching practice, to construct knowledge about CLIL and to develop principles of CLIL. The examples discussed are from teaching geography, biology and history in English. (Verlag, adapt.). |
