| Abstract | "As a consequence of the political and economic transition occuring in the Partner States (of Central and Eastern Europe), important co- operation programmes in the field of management training have been launched both by the European Union, and bilaterally by its Member States. The purpose of these programmes is to support the transformation process by providing assistance to specific economic sectors and relevant public administrations." This contribution describes the action plan of the European Training Foundation and it's implementation which focusses on three different sectors: 1. Training and development of managers and entrepreneurs, 2. action in favour of management institutions, 3. implementation of information/ documentation, analysis/evaluation and advice services.
