Abstract | [The author's] empirical study considers the ritual establishment and negotiation of communities in three classes of the 4th - 6th grades at a Berlin elementary school within peer group, class and lesson communities. [They] concentrate on everyday transitions as main processes in everyday school praxis and investigate those micro-rituals shaping the transitions between different school contexts. The question central to this study is: 'Which themes and forms of micro-rituals can be found in these school transition phases and how do they contribute to establishing communities?' (Orig.). |
