| Abstract | The article describes the functioning and the work of the CIFFAD, an international group of distance education in the Francophone countries which promotes the utilisation of internet and multimedia in education. This organization "intends to develop national Open and Distance Learning expertise, to participate in the creation of new local instances and to achieve a real reciprocity in the production of contents, involving the teachers concerned and putting new information technologies at their disposal."
