Abstract | The purpose of this study was to examine some elements of American and Russian students' emerging global perspectives. As part of the GTP-Georgia /Russia exchange project, 150 high school students from Georgia (USA) and 150 high school students from Russia participated in three, year-long programs of collaborative environmental research and cross- cultural exchange. We conclude that environmental science education must stress not only cognitive but also affective outcomes necessary for the assumption of planetary stewardship. (Autorenreferat). |
