(Autorenreferat; BIBB-Doku). "Critical emancipatory vocational and business education is now considered obsolete, either because the term emancipation is assigned to the jargon of the 1960s/1970s, because empirical vocational education and training research follows a positivist paradigm, or because criticism seems desired and emancipation appears as realized due to subject-oriented competence and inclusion concepts and the educational task "Ability to active contribution". At the same time, there is a need for a revival of critical emancipatory vocational and business education with reference to "neo-liberalization" and "economization" in different areas of society. Against this background, the question arises as to whether and to what extent criticism and emancipation must be considered in a new or different way. In order to initiate a corresponding discussion, the following article will attempt to ask for understandings, characteristics and in particular for paradoxes of the emancipation term in disputes with vocational education and training. This is done on the basis of a historiographical reconstruction of precursors of critical emancipatory vocational training theory." (author's abstract; BIBB-Doku). |
