AbstractIn this article, the author asks the question "Where do students at your school get most of their information for research?" He states that if they are only using the Web, their research is probably on shaky footing. Using only print or using only digital resources often gives student researchers only part of the picture and provides inadequate support for their projects. To perform successful research, today's students need to employ a more "Catholic" approach--they need to gather resources from the Web and the library, the library and the Web, and not rely exclusively on one or the other. He suggests that teacher-librarians must encourage their students to complete research that has firm footing. He describes his method, the Information Resource Tripod, and how it can help student researchers. (ERIC).
