Abstract | The recent abundance of film adaptations and stage productions of Shakespearean drama as well as of digital platforms offering access to texts and to scholarly resources may impact the teaching of Shakespeare's plays significantly, especially for learners geographically remote from traditional centres of Shakespeare studies and from live performances in English. This brief overview of some of the pedagogical components of a taught course focuses on the employment of digital technologies to facilitate student understanding of the significance of editorial choices in the construction of the texts of the plays and of the relationship between text and performance practices.
