AbstractThis fact book for Columbia Basin College (CBC), Washington, opens with a message from CBC's president and a mission statement. CBC serves over 13,000 students and offers associate degrees in arts and science, as well as applied science. The document also offers information regarding staff and faculty profiles for 2002, degrees awarded, top 5 hot programs, and enrollment growth, all of which are presented in tabular form. Highlights of faculty profiles include the following: (1) 112 faculty members are full-time, while 253 are part-time; (2) Full-time faculty are 54% male, while part-time faculty are 56% female; (3) Full-time faculty are 91% white, and part-time faculty are 90% white; and (4) 3% of full-time faculty are 60 or older, while 15% of part-time faculty are 60 or older. The section on student services identifies a variety of services and programs offered, including counseling and guidance, and disability, library, and financial services. Student characteristics and demographics by type of course enrollment are presented in tables. Data indicate that 73% of students are white, 55% are female, 34% are 30 and over, and 62% are part-time students. The document also offers statistics on financial aid, economic impact on the community, educational partnerships, community commitment, and federal grants awarded to CBC. (NB)
