AbstractThese 12 monthly newsletters from 1995 explore the myriad problems encountered by children and adolescents as they grow up. Regular departments in the newsletter issues include "Keep Your Eye On...," which briefly presents results of research into childhood and adolescent problems; "New Research," summarizing research from recent publications and professional conferences; "Guest Commentary," featuring editorials from various professionals working with children and adolescents; book reviews; and client handouts designed for use by practitioners. Major topics featured in the 1995 newsletters include: (1) underage gambling (January); (2) onset of schizophrenia (February); (3) male victims of spouse abuse (March); (4) teen suicide (April); (5) prejudice among children (May); (6) the Oklahoma City bombing and post-traumatic stress disorder among children (June); (7) conflict resolution among toddlers (July); (8) orphanages (August); (9) infant disorders (September); (10) grief counseling (October); (11) sudden infant death syndrome (November); and (12) infant massage (December). A year-end index to the issues in this volume facilitates searching for particular topics. (KDFB)
