This report consists of an outline of the current relationship of the visual arts and computer science, the report of a feasibility study for a dictionary to be used as a potential bilingual reference tool, a bibliography of over 200 related resources, and related appended materials. Appended materials include: a reproduced computer-generated graphic; a list of the areas in which computer graphics can be applied; a list of 783 terms constructed form the French-language technical and arts literature; a list of synonyms, abbreviations, and variants; information on the organization of terminology in the plastic arts; a list of terms in the plastic arts; English terminology drawn from computer graphics programs in English; a sample simulated computer graphics vocabulary; a list of resource organizations; a brief article on development of a computer graphics terminology; a list of institutions in Canada, with addresses, where computer arts are taught; and a list of related conferences, workshops, and events.
