Abstract | This curriculum guide contains materials for use in implementing four levels of a course in electrical occupations that is designed for students in grades 9-12. Presented first are concept lists, instructional planning (learning activity) sheets, and project sheets for use in teaching the third and fourth levels of the course. Level V instructional units include the following topics: electrical construction and troubleshooting, power supplies, solid state devices, amplification, and digital fundamentals. Provided for use in the sixth level of the course are instructional units dealing with AM-FM radios, audio systems, television systems, digital systems and microprocessors, solid state devices, and appliance repair. Appendixes to the guide contain safety and project guide sheets, a bibliography, a circuit trainer exploration sheet, tool requirement lists, a glossary of applied technology, and a skills card.
