AbstractThis curriculum guide provides a model for organizing vocational instructional content from which secondary level instructors can extract an electronics cluster curriculum that meets local program needs. Primarily oriented towards classroom use, the guide may also assist administrators, counselors, and lay people involved in local school systems. Following a discussion of the philosophy, purpose, and objectives underlying state and local vocational education programs in Georgia, occupational and program information is provided, including a description of the field of electronics, electronics cluster program objectives, program exit points, tasks typically performed in the field, and performance standards for graduation. Presented next are a series of unit guides, each of which contains the following: a task statement, a performance objective, instructional activities, suggested instructional materials, and evaluation criteria. The next two sections consist of a sample course outline and curriculum structure and various student record forms. Facility layouts are described for group and individualized instructional activities. Appended to the guide are listings of resources and resource addresses, suggestions for working with special needs students, and a definition of terms. (MN)
