| Abstract | This paper is a collection of summaries of recent articles on attitudes towards work and retirement. It is divided into three sections on background, work and retirement. The section entitled "work" covers the following topics: (1) Status of Work and Retirement Around the World, (2) Characteristics and Capacity of Older Workers, (3) Meaning of Work to Older Workers, and (4) Possible Solutions to the Problem. The retirment section covers the following: (1) Work and the Decision to Retire, (2) Retirement Preparation, and (3) Retirement Policies. (ST) |
