Abstract | This report summarizes the activities of a project to implement the group vocational guidance program of consortium C in Texas and to research and develop additional target populations. Project objectives were: (1) To provide a cadre of personnel to act as group guidance program workshop presenters and follow-up consultants, (2) to provide workshops and follow-up assistance, (3) to provide orientation and training for state educational personnel outside the vocational education and guidance divisions, and (4) to explore the ramifications for program usage outside the secondary school setting. The report describes the methodology designed to accomplish these goals and objectives in the three categories of (1) activities pertaining to orienting and including educational service center personnel in the training workshop, (2) activities pertaining to presenting initial and follow-up workshops, and (3) activities pertaining to the exploration of and experimentation with additional target populations. Included is a detailed discussion of expansion activities and feedback from adult and continuing education personnel, special education students, migrant program personnel, and elementary and middle school students. Appended to the report are such project-related materials as correspondence and the workshop schedule. Also appended are supplementary cases to the group guidance program along with basic learner outcomes for the program cases. (NJ) |
