Abstract | The Experienced Teacher Fellowship Program at Hofstra University involves the participants in investigating the structure, claims, and methodologies of the natural sciences, mathematics, social sciences, and the psychological findings of Piagetian-oriented cognitive development studies. The Fellows in the program form groups to decide on research topics, some of which have resulted in studies of (1) conservation of quantity in first grade children, (2) the level of moral judgments of children enrolled or not enrolled, in a school of the Ethical Culture Society, and (3) the attitudes of lower-class children and middle-class children toward policemen, fathers, mothers, and teachers.
