Abstract	"'Familie und Gesellschaft im Übergang' war das Thema der 66. Jahrestagung der International Council of Psychologists im August 2008 in St. Petersburg, Russland. Diese Konferenz beschäftigte sich mit verschiedenen Aspekten und Veränderungen, welche Individuen, Familie und Gesellschaftsformen auf der Welt in den letzten Jahrzehnten erlebt haben. Das International Council of Psychologists (ICP) ist eine interkulturelle Vereinigung und fördert kulturübergreifende Forschung in Theorie und Praxis. Die Vereinigung trifft sich jährlich und diskutiert interkulturelle Problemstellungen und Entwicklungen. Der vorliegende Kongressband bietet eine Sammlung von kulturübergreifenden Artikeln, welche die wesentlichen Themen und Fragen berühren, welche die Welt heute beschäftigen: Familie und Gender, Wissen und Kompetenzen, moralische Erziehung und Friedens-Bildung, abweichendes Verhalten und Wiedereingliederung, Stress, Wohlbefinden, Lebensqualität und Essverhalten. Gemeinsam betrachtet lenken die Kapitel dieses Buches unsere Aufmerksamkeit auf die volle Breite der affektiven, kognitiven, beziehungsrelevanten, sozialen und kulturellen Dimensionen von Individuen, Familien und Gesellschaften. "'Families and Societies in Transition' was the theme of the 66th Annual Convention of International Council of Psychologists in August 2008 in St. Petersburg, Russia. This conference dealt with different aspects and changes families and society have been undergoing around the world during the last decades. The International Council of Psychologists as an intercultural society fosters cross-cultural issues in theory and practice. The association meets every year discussing cross-cultural challenges and developments. This volume offers a collection of papers touching the main psychological themes and topics the world experiences today. h as families and gender, peace education, knowledge and competencies, moral and peace education, deviant behaviour and restoration, distress, well-being and quality of life and eating behaviour. Viewed collectively the chapters in this volume call our attention to the full range of affective, cognitive, relational, social, and cultural dimensions of individuals, families and societies. The International Council of Psychologists (ICP) holds a multi-cultural expertise to face the multitude of challenges around the globe and the experts in this council foster open, flexible and peaceful approaches to the diversity of the world."
