Abstract | The article reports on a school-based project that investigates the use of computer-assisted video communication in the primary English as a foreign language classroom. The project examines how an interactive whiteboard can be used to engage language learners in collaborative projects in the target language with students from other countries. Three videoconferencing activities are described that were implemented in the framework of the project. These collaborative activities were carried out between a second grade German class (7-8 years old) and a third grade French class (8-9 years old); all exchanges were conducted in English. |
