Abstract | As in real life, you can buy most things, but you can't buy real friendship. The mean kid in the story, Max, is not a good friend. Max is a stereotype figure with a complete lack of empathy who enjoys putting other children down. Charlie, by contrast, is the most popular boy in the class. When Charlie invites his friends to a barbeque, Max decides he also wants to go. But the question is: Will Charlie invite him after his friends tell him about the nasty things he has been saying about them? The story has alternative endings. The pupils could decide on their own ending for the story. They could draw a final picture and talk about what they say or do in the situation. (Verlag, adapt.). |
