Abstract	The article deals with an empirical study on processes of intercultural learning in foreign language learning and teaching. The learning setting is a tandem course at university level where German students of French work in a face-to-face contact with French students of German in order to mutually improve their language skills. The aim of the study was to identify and analyse moments of intercultural learning in the interaction of the tandem partners by the means of discourse analysis. On the basis of a transcript it is reconstructed how two female tandem partners describe their perspectives, how they try to take in the perspective of the other and to mediate between theirs perspectives. These aspects are considered to be important for intercultural learning. (Orig.).
