AbstractFrom the first moment of life, the human being is able to self-regulate, which that provides him with the possibility to interact both with objects and also with other human beings. The process of learning results from repeated experience with the environment, and it can be considered as a modification in a person's behaviour; and this acquisition produces a change. There are different types of learning, but we choose to present Gagne's type, and these are signal learning, stimulus response learning, chaining, verbal association, discrimination learning, concept learning, rule learning and problem solving. Cognitive interest is the basis of all efficient activities and also represents a positive and active attitude. This plays a crucial role for anybody who wants to succeed. It can be developed, from a contemplative type, in childhood, to an explorer one, in adolescence. The existence of this interest in school years can increase concentration capacity and it can decrease fatigue. Studies indicate that intellectual development is not enough for obtaining remarcable results during school years, being necessary to have knowledge interest and motivation for learning. That's why teachers need to find new methods to help students and sustain their activity.(Orig.).
