Abstract | It is stated in the paper that the application of the concept of continuous education as a process extending beyond the university years, toward the entire lifecycle of persons, raises strong challenges to university teaching. The main challenge refers to the introduction of changes in the competencies of teachers, whose operating paradigms are always a rationalization of what they currently do, either implicitly or explicitly. Clarifying the level of formation that must be attained through teaching is a fundamental issue in the context of a society undergoing rapid change. From these premises the author reviews the experience that has been gained in the Universidad Central, as regards the development of post title programs in the area of education. (DIPF/Orig.). |
