Abstract | "In this article the essential features of the (educational) reform plan is discussed, underscoring two elements that could offer a new perspective: 1) the author tries to outline the situation of the training system with which to compare the proposals for change, and 2) he takes as the reference point of governmental policy ... the Social Pact concluded at the end of 1998." In the third part of his article the author picks out "three main axes of change on which to concentrate the overall evaluation: school autonomy as rationalization of the offer through decentralization; the structural reform of the system through its diversification and the qualification of the offering through a qualitative confrontation between schools."
