Abstract	Terms of refernce: -to investigate, propose and negotiate principles for the award and transfer of credit between different providers within higher education and beyond -to ensure that adequate provision is made for assuring the quality of transferable credits -to identify funding and other obstacles to the development of a system of transferable credits as a core feature of higher education -to consider how higher education should respond to the development of transferable credits in other sectors of education, particularly within post-16 and further education -to consider how transferable credits can be more effectively marketed with students, employers and institutions -to co-ordinate aims and programmes of credit transfer with international developments.
