Abstract | In Cameroon, the government's difficulties in bringing down unemployment among the young and in finding a reliable solution to the problem of the inadequacy between training and employment, have involved the idea of the professionalization of teaching. This very polysemous notion sometimes refers to professional socialization, sometimes to teachers' unionism, or else to teachers' professional identity. In this paper, we have opted for the notions of professionalization of expertise and professionalization of practice so as to, on the one hand specify and qualify the integration of professional attributes and, on the other hand, describe the aspects and conditions presiding over the adequacy between training and employment.
