Abstract | Part 12 of a series of 13 instructor's manuals for the competency based training of curriculum consultants for exceptional children focuses on training teachers and administrators in the selection of materials and media. Two competencies are considered: (1) that a curriculum consultant should be capable of training teachers and administrators in the selection and evaluation of instructional materials and media, and (2) that a curriculum consultant should be capable of training teachers and administrators in the development of instructional materials and media. Among materials included in the manual are lists of behavioral objectives for the module, enabling activities, and evaluation criteria for each of the competency components. Space is provided for the instructor to list resources and comments for the activities provided for each component. A conference record sheet is included for each of the two competencies. (PHR) |
